Module content | During or at the end of the third year of study, students in Mechanical Engineering undergo prescribed practical training in the industry. The purpose is the execution of small projects on engineering assistant level with exposure to the various relevant functions in the organisation. The duration is at least 240 hours of work. A case study on occupational health and safety must be done in this period and submitted to the department together with a satisfactory report on the practical training within one week of registration. Students must also attend two (2) industry visits in the first semester and two (2) industry visits in the second semester as well as attend at least six (6) guest lectures through the year. |
